[Modern Pentathlon]

Modern Pentathlon joined the Olympic programme in 1912.
Modern Pentathlon was created by Pierre de Coubertin to measure comprehensive capability of an athlete. It is made up of horse riding, fencing, swimming, pistol shooting and running. It included men’s event and women’s event. The modern pentathlon made its first debut at the Olympic in 1912, inclusive of shooting, fencing, swimming, riding and running.
