(BEIJING, June 6) -- Yang Shu'an, executive vice-president of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) and head of the football group under BOCOG inspected Shenyang Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Wednesday.

One of five football venues for the 2008 Olympic Games (others being Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Qinhuangdao), the stadium is located in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning Province in Northeast China.

Construction of the project started in November 2005 and it is now in the tail-out phase. When completed, it will boast 60,000 seats.
