| Foreign capital invested 6 billion yuan on commercial real estates in Beijing in the first half of 2006, which reflects the shift of their investment focus from Shanghai to Beijing. Foreign capital on commercial real estates in Beijing can be categorized maily as follows. The first is investment on real estate agencies. The second is to buy the real estates in CBDs of the city, and then sell them to other foreign investors at a higher price after careful development. The third is to invest in various ways including direct investment and buying stock right of local real estate agencies. Though most foreign investments still went to commercial real estates in the CBD of the city, overseas investors invested mainly on the real estates already under construction, instead of buying well developed ones like two years ago. With the growth of investment on Beijing's real estate industry, there are not many developed real estates left in the CBD of Beijing.
