Beijing has a warm and temperate climate, featuring four distinctive seasons with short spring and autumn and long winter and summer. Summer is hot and humid in Beijing, with temperatures in July averaging at 32 degrees Celsius (90 F). It's fairly cold in winter when the air is dry, with an average temperature of minus 10 degrees Celsius (14F) in January. The best tourist season in the Chinese capital is autumn. With blue sky and crisp air, which make the mild weather in Beijing even more pleasant, the temperatures in September and October range between 15 to 20 degrees Celsius (59-68 F).
