The four-month mascot design competition for the Beijing Olympic Games and Beijing Paralympic Games came to a close at 5 pm on December 1. The selection phase of the campaign is scheduled to begin soon.

Many entries arrived on the last day of the solicitation campaign, according to an official from the BOCOG Culture and Ceremonies Department. All entries are currently being filed by the department responsible for the contest and will be evaluated by the selection panel shortly.

BOCOG will unveil the chosen mascots for the Beijing Olympics and the Beijing Paralympics in June next year.
