Children celebrate the release of the environmental symbol of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

   The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 18. Earlier, BOCOG won a gold prize for its contribution to the protection of the ozone layer and unveiled the environmental symbol of Beijing Olympics -- "Green Olympics". BOCOG has been dedicated to spreading the concept of "Green Olympics" in its preparation for the Games.
