(BEIJING, April 6) -- BOCOG President Liu Qi met on Friday with the Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of Atos Origin Bernard Bourigeaud.
Liu said that the implementation of the concept "High-tech Olympics" is one
of the city's main tasks during the preparation for the Beijing and an important
aspect of staging high-level Olympics with distinguishing features. The 26
sports events of the "Good Luck in Beijing" series to be held this year will put
the Olympic venues, public facilities and related technical systems
to the test.
Liu expressed the hope that the two parties would continue to strengthen
their cooperation to accomplish the tasks for this year's competitions. He also
took advantage of the meeting to give his guest an introduction to the
development of the city's modern service industry.
Bourigeaud said Atos Origin has long cooperated with China and is anxious to
make new contributions to the 2008 Olympic Games.
BOCOG Executive Vice-President and Secretary-General Wang Wei was present at
the meeting.
