(BEIJING, Jan. 25) -- In modern society, everyone is a volunteer, everyone is serving others and is served at the same time, said an Olympic specialist.

Ren Hai, chief expert at China Institute of Sport Science, likened the reciprocal help spirit to the symbol of modernization of the society and socialization of the individuals.

"Reflecting upon the Olympic Games," he further explained, "Win-win situation is achieved through the close cooperation between the Olympic Games and the volunteers.

"Volunteers can acquire precious experience and satisfaction at the success of the great event. Following the Olympic Games, the volunteer spirit will be encouraged in the society, thus propelling the development of the social welfares," Ren said in a recent interview.

Ren also pointed out the importance of equality among the volunteers. Everyone is of no difference in the 100,000-member team, regardless of genders, ages, political, cultural and economic background, he said.

Ren considered the volunteer organization to be part of the "soft environment" legacy, and expressed his wishes that the team be expanded in future.
