(BEIJING, September 26) - Kevan, Gosper, chairman of International Olympic Committee Press Commission voiced his conviction that journalists and photographers will be happy with living and working conditions at the Media Village during the 2008 Olympic Games. He made the remark when visiting the village, the Main Press Center and Olympic competition venues together with attendees of the 1st World Press Briefing for the 2008 Games. On Monday, the media toured the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, Beijing's hutongs and other scenic spots. The press briefing, hosted by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) and due to open on Thursday, will update the world media on the preparatory work for the Beijing Olympics, media operations in particular, and hear their opinions and suggestions.
