Liu Jingmin serves as Vice Mayor of Beijing and Executive Vice President of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad.

Born in Dingzhou, Hebei Province, in January 1952, Liu graduated from China Renmin University (majoring in Economics).

His previous posts included Secretary of the CPC Committee of Beijing No. Six Construction Company; Deputy Secretary of Chinese Communist Youth League (CYLC) Beijing Committee; Head and Party Secretary of Xuanwu District; Assistant Mayor of the Beijing Municipal Government, then Vice Mayor.

Liu was also involved in Beijing's Olympic bid as Executive Vice President of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Bid Committee.
