A three-day photo exhibition in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China opened at Antananrivo Saturday with over 60 photos on display showing the Special Administrative Region's development and its people's life and culture.

Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar Li Shuli spoke highly of the "one country, two systems" concept pioneered by late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping.

The achievements Hong Kong has scored over the past 10 years, despite hardships like the Asia financial crisis and the SARS epidemic, have given convincing proof to the great vitality of Deng's concept, according to the ambassador.

He said Hong Kong's position as a financial, trade and shipping center in the world has been consolidated with the support of the Chinese central government and efforts by all sectors in Hong Kong.

The continuance of China's reform and opening up policy will provide more opportunities and broader space for Hong Kong's development and prosperity and Hong Kong's future would be brighter, said the ambassador. (Xinhua)
