    1.Introduction

Building energy conservation means making good use of energy, using energy properly, and improving the using efficiency. Building energy consumption includes heat-supply, air-conditioning, hot-water supply, cooking, lighting, other electronic equipment etc. The building energy consumption is about 35-40% of total energy consumption in china.

Therefore, the Olympic venues should conform to the sustainable development, adopt efficient technology to conserve energy and use energy properly, such as using advanced architecture to decrease the heat radiation, making good use of solar energy, natural ventilation and the possible technology to conserve energy.

2.Energy conservation in the Olympic Village

    (1) High-level insulation for enclosure structure: further designing and optimizing the enclosure structure to lower 30% of energy consumption on the basis of JGJ26-95 standard so as to approximate to the requirements of current architecture energy consumption standards in the developed countries.

    (2) Adoption of advanced energy supply technology and full utilization of renewable energy, such as advanced heat pump heat supply/air conditioning technology(including earth source heat pump technology, water source heat pump technology), heat and cool accumulation technology, solar energy and sunlight utilization heat supply, fully utilizing clean energy source, increasing combined supply of heat and power or combined supply of heat, power and cool; and increasing application of heat pump, energy storage, heat recovery and variable flow technology.
