(BEIJING, March 19) -- The pupils of a primary school on Qingdao's Hongkong Road received the first
batch of "smile wristlets" for the Olympic volunteers.
The Qingdao sailing sub-committee, along with the relevant government
departments, will distribute 300,000 to 50,000 sets of the wristlets to the
residents till August 2008.
The wristlets come in five colors: Red represents readiness to help others;
Yellow -- civility and politeness; Black - honesty and trustworthiness;
Blue -- studying and forging ahead; and Green --environmental
protection.
The obverse side of the wristlets bears the characters "smile, promise", as
well as the official emblem of the Olympics, while on the reverse side, it says
"Your smile is the Qingdao's best name card".
