on March 28, 2007 and finishes at the end of March, 2008.

IV. Recruitment Procedures
Volunteer recruitment in Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas areas will
comply with the procedure set forth in the General Policy for Volunteers for the
Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, which includes: application, review of
application forms, tests, interviews, assignments, background checks and
notification.
The selection of volunteers will be conducted by each recruitment officer
respectively in accordance with the requirements of BOCOG.
BOCOG is responsible for the final decision of recruitment and work
allocation.
At the same time, the recruitment, in conjunction with training, will take
training results of applicants as one of the important selection factors.
V. Recruitment Schedule
Qualified applicants can sign up on the designated websites after the press
conference. Applications will not be accepted after the end of March 2008.
The selection, recommendation and training of volunteers will proceed under
the aegis of the different recruitment offices from March 2007 to March 2008.
Publicity and related theme activities will be organized in due course. Venue
volunteer applicants will be given general knowledge on the Beijing Olympic
Games via long-distance training.
All the recruitment organizations will complete selection and nomination by
the end of March 2008.
BOCOG will conclude the whole recruitment process by the end of May 2008.
VI. Games-Time Service
Volunteers from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas areas need to come to
Beijing prior to the Olympic and Paralympic Games for venue and position
training at the designated venues and positions.
BOCOG will provide venue volunteers with everything necessary for proper work
at Games time, according to international convention and the General Policy for
Volunteers for the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games. Work provisions, which
are the same for every volunteer, include an accreditation card, free meals
during service hours, free public transport services in designated areas within
the city and a Personal Accident Insurance during the period of service. Venue
volunteers from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas areas need to pay their
expenses for the round-trip travel to and from the host city, as well as for
their accommodation during the period of volunteer
service.
