(BEIJING, April 22) -- Led by President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Sir Philip Craven, members of the IPC Governing Board who are in Beijing to attend the 46th GB meeting visited the construction sites of a number of venues and auxiliary facilities for the Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games on Sunday.

The tour brought them to the National Stadium, National Aquatics Center, National Indoor Stadium, Paralympic Village, Beijing University of Science and Technology Gymnasium and China Agriculture University Gymnasium.

After receiving updates on the progress of the accessible facilities, including details of the entrance passes of the Paralympic athletes, Sir Philip Craven expressed his satisfaction. Board members had the same feeling when touring other venues and auxiliary facilities because of the thorough consideration given to accessibility.

Wang Wei, executive vice-president and secretary-general of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) and Tang Xiaoquan, vice-president of the China Disabled Persons' Federation and BOCOG executive vice-president accompanied the IPC officials on their tour
