(BEIJING, Dec. 31) – The Beijing Olympic Radio Frequency System
(http://rf.beijing2008.cn) will be operational on January 1, 2007. A launch
ceremony was held in Beijing on Sunday.
Vice Minister of Information Industry Xi Guohua, Executive Vice President and
Secretary-General of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of XXIX
Olympiad (BOCOG) attended the launch ceremony.
During the Olympic Games, members of the Olympic Family and Games-related
departments will use a great volume of radio facilities for TV broadcasting,
sports organization, security, transport as well as torch relay and the opening
and closing ceremonies.
In such circumstances, radio frequency coordination is a key work to ensure
secure radio electromagnetic conditions for a high-level Olympics.
