(BEIJING, April 2) -- April 1, 2007 is the 23rd
tree-planting day of Beijing when local soldiers and residents in the capital
are activated to the outdoor tree-planting activities in urban parks and green
belts in the suburb.
In an effort to build the green
Olympics, about 2.2 million trees of different species are built in
the event, and 5.3 million trees get repaired and 120 million square meters
green areas are ridded up.
