(BEIJING, Dec. 19) -- The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the
XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) today announced that Mondo S.p.A. was selected as the
Official Athletic Track, Basketball and Handball Courts Supplier of the Beijing
2008 Olympic Games.
According to the agreement between the two parties, Mondo will supply the
athletic track, the basketball and handball courts flooring and equipment for
the Beijing Olympic Games. This important achievement marked Mondo's ninth
participation in the world-focused Olympic Games since the 1976 Montreal Olympic
Games.
Director of Marketing Department of BOCOG Mrs. Yuan Bin extended her
congratulations to Mondo on becoming the Official Supplier of the Beijing 2008
Olympic Games. She said that Mondo was a famous manufacturer of sports flooring
and equipment and had accumulated rich experience in serving the Olympic. The
joining of Mondo will contribute to the Beijing Olympic preparation. BOCOG will
work closely with all its sponsors in the delivery of a high-level Olympic Games
with distinguishing Chinese features.
