53. Can the disabled sign up to be Games-time volunteers?

The disabled are part of the society. They are welcomed to sign up as Games-time volunteers. The criteria of volunteers for the Olympics and Paralympics are the same for all applicants. Volunteers are selected and recruited in an open, just and fair manner and based on unified standards.

54. When will the recruitment for the Paralympics volunteers start?

The recruitment of Paralympics volunteers will be conducted along with that of the Olympics. It will be from August, 2006.

55. The treatments enjoyed by Paralympics volunteers?

The treatments of the Paralympics Games-time volunteers are the same as that of the Olympics.

56. What incentives will the BOCOG give to Paralympics volunteers during the period of their service?

Paralympics volunteers enjoy the same incentives as that of Olympics volunteers.

57. Can Olympics volunteers become Paralympics volunteer directly or are there other examinations needed?

We welcome volunteers to provide services for the two Games at the same time. Olympics volunteers can become Paralympics volunteers after they undergo the training of knowledge about serving the disabled and technical skills as well as necessary tests.
