
(BEIJING, August 8) -- On the morning of August 8, 2007, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Jacques Rogge came to Beijing's Olympic Green Hockey Field where his hockey skills were acclaimed by some 1,000 spectators.
His solo demonstration was arranged before the inaugural use of the Olympic venue. The competition between China and Argentine took place afterwards as part of the Good Luck Beijing 2007 International Hockey Tournament, and Rogge and his party watched the match attentively.
Responding to the questions of the media, the president said all of them had seen the magnificent venues in Beijing, where the Good Luck Beijing events are being held. "I look forward to the 2008 Games," he said.
