BOCOG to hire more foreign talents

(BEIJING, June 6) -- The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) is expected expand the team of foreign experts to 230 next year form the current 30.

BOCOG has attached great importance to hiring foreign talents, Xu Zhijun, vice director of BOCOG Human Resources Department told a press conference at the Beijing Olympic Media Center on Wednesday.

Through the years to prepare for the 2008 Olympic Games, BOCOG has taken in more than 30 foreign specialists though recommendation of international sports federations or self-recommendation. With the growing demand for professional and skillful brains, BOCOG decided to employ more, Xu said.

He disclosed that the BOCOG staff has grown to 1,800, who are featured by high learning, proficiency in foreign languages and comprehensive professional backgrounds.
