Scene of opening ceremony

   (BEIJING, June 28) -- An exhibition of 88 cartoons and folk songs was opened at the Capital Library of Beijing on Wednesday to promote civility among citizens.

   Renowned Chinese cartoonists Hua Junwu, Wang Fuyang, Ding Cong and others contributed their works while folk artists matched them with folk words which praise traditional Chinese virtues and criticize bad habits.

   As one of the 28 events of the fourth Olympic Cultural Festival, the week-long exhibition was jointly organized by Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Beijing Artists' Association and Beijing Society of Folk Artists.
