(BEIJING, Sept. 27) -- Songs, dances, speeches and the Olympic knowledge quiz featured a contest of university students in Beijing on Wednesday.

The Olympic knowledge, civility and etiquette were major themes of the contest staged recently among universities and colleges across China.

Many students took part in the campaign to show their enthusiasm, vigor and talent. Teams from Beijing Normal University, Peking University, the University of Hong Kong and seven others stood out from a long list of participants.

The panelists came from China's General Administration of Sport, the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), the Games' sponsors and Olympic metalists. The prize-awarding ceremony will be held on Friday.
